Life is just like the Mountains

Life is just like the Mountains.

To begin with the obvious, mountains cannot be imagined without it's regular up's and down's. If you're climbimg up, then you will have to climb down later and vice-versa. The cycle always plays full. Depending on which stage, what phase you are, the ups and downs/highs and lows are handled accordingly.

Like mountains without bends are unimaginable, so it is for life. The bends in both are a constant. No bend is alike, some are hair pin, some seem like only a wide curve. And even when we get a preview of what's coming ahead, only when you take the turn you know what's in store. Navigate and cross that we must, only on our own.

Life is just like the Mountains. The further you go towards the tip, the better picture you get. The mountains crossed a while back are now on the other side and are seen with much clarity, than the one which we're on or just leaving behind. The ones we're on or leaving behind are visible either just as a haze of dust or too close to view much, before they too dissappear.

The more you age, the better you reflect and undertsand things, the more higher up you go, the more vast and beautiful the view. Maybe not every detail is seen, but it doesn't matter by then. The journey is seen totally, from A - Z; and that is more important.

Life is just like the mountains. Some more captivating, more lush while others more of barren reds, browns and blacks. By the same token, life is compartively easier for many and not so much for several.

The effort to reach the top, akin to life goals; only few are brave enough to chase hard and conquer. Similar to the mountains, life too rewards you with the well earned perks, once you succeed in reaching the summit.

Life is just like the Mountains. The most striking similarity being, many a times, it looks intimidating when you look at the enormousness of it. You wonder if you can even cross it. You feel like giving up even before starting. But to move ahead, we have no option but to cross it. There is no other choice, is there?

Life is just like the mountains.

The Year 2020 and things about Covid!

To say 2020 has been THE mother screw up year, of all the screw up years humanity must have encountered would be more than an understatement. With the amount of science/ advancement humanity has seen and with the amount of ease there is to access technology, we yet have no vaccine ready for the bloody Covid that we have been plagued with... that is quite something! We did have plagues earlier too.. but thanks to our ease of moving around as a global tourists, the plague spread multifold faster and took no time to become a global pandemic!

It's December now and  apart from the 50 days straight lockdown in India and more or less same duration around the world, the sane ones still haven't yet started venturing out - travelling. Like responsible citizens, we've pretty much been confined to our homes the whole year. Even after the lockdown lifted, it was only for work/business purposes. Forget socialising in any which way, even the festivals were toned down to less than 50% of the usual sho-sha! Weddings and deaths had a strict number to be adhered to. The virus was showing no signs of dying!

But in this madness, people somehow managed to find few laughs. For one, I thouroughly enjoyed the funny, at times outrageous forwards I received. I do know there were/are people who didn't find the funny forwards funny as they thought the world was suffering and there shouldn't be jokes on that and belittle the pain of the ones going through. I say it was a collective blow to humanity. And to bring a little humour in all this grim was actually a good thing. There were many who were going through anxiety, depression for the future, for their jobs, plans, livelihoods. To find and forward some of that humour could actually be healing to few.

Now at the end of the year, as most of the Covid jokes are down and done with, I decided to save most of the Covid related jokes only and put them up for keeps, so when I reflect on this page 5 years down the line, I'd remember the terrible year we sailed and got through! I definetely hope we are never going to see a year like this! So, here goes:

The first one has to be my ultimate fav! Still can't believe this woman!

Video 2

Video 3: State of my Heart and Mind in May! :(

There are a few more to add which were so good that seems like I saved them somewhere extra safe that I can't seem to find them!

This done, there were some pretty awesome deeds people did in the lockdown which I would want to dedicate another post for!

Words are empty, Emotions are not

Words are empty..but emotions give them life.
When laced with pain, they carry the biggest weight and can destroy the recipient.

The effect isn't the same with anger. Words in anger sound loud.. like echoes.. but they just bounce everywhere and eventually vanish. Not destroying, just rattling the walls of the heart for a moment.

But when the heart tips in pain on hearing something..those are emotions coming out, not words.
Undoubtedly.

My First Dance Performance in School for House of Daffodils!

Caught a bit of this movie on TV couple of days back and it brought back so many memories! Though I haven't watched this movie fully till date, this will always be a significant movie.

Why?

My first ever Dance performance - Group Dance performance in school was for this song; from the movie Madhumati. And guess what? I played a boy in this!! :-D I think I was the second or first boy in line due to my height at that point of time.. and I remember I was shivering away in fear if I forgot any step! Pleasantly surprisingly, it went great...and it was thrilling for me to realise I could be on stage without goofing up! I still remember our House Caption, Anne, she had made us work SO HARD for the practices. The result - Our House, we, had won this dance competition!!

I should dig out a pic from the post performance, to put up here for memory!

Resolutions 2017!

So it's that time of the year that I make resolutions. Didn't take any the last couple of years.. didn't feel like taking any then.
Not making resolutions, I guess makes me feel that I am not progressing. I have nothing measurable to compare to at the end of the year. And it's been two in a row. Sounds school-kiddish maybe.. but that's how it is.
So here I am, making them for this new year again. Will keep them short & achievable. Hate the feeling for not having ticked off the maximum at the end of the year. Like 365 days weren't enough for me to achieve/get done the small list I decided on! So here goes:
  1. If there is anything I am most passionate about, it's about my solo travels. Last year my travelling plummeted. & I wasn't happy about that. On top of that, I even cut short a trip for the first time ever & got back home 5 days sooner than the original plan. Definitely disappointed on that front. There are a few of long pending places, which would take about 2 weeks minimum each. Plan to visit atleast 2 from that list this year.
  2. Though I did get back to reading a bit, there are books which I purchased which haven't been touched.. paperback & the Kindle versions too! Want to start reading atleast one book per month to begin with.
  3. Transfer all the paper journals of the travels to blog world. There're a whole lot of scattered journals I have all over a few diaries. Definitely want to put all of them together at one place. Get the travel blog in order.
  4. Gratitude Jar: I used to have one jar of thank you's for any good deed done or anything good I received. Reading them once in a while was such a mood enhancer & feel good factor. The gratitude jar broke & the habit went for a toss. Should get that back. Also makes me feel grateful when I am in complaining mode!
  5. Being a practitioner, I send Reiki to a lot of friends.. people - but I rarely remember to give it to myself. This year, I want to start practicing, not for any other reason.. but just for the sake of becoming a better practitioner.
  6. Be a little more social - One complain/feedback I keep hearing for self is that I don't make time to socialize. I wonder why. I may not be initiating the meeting part, but I do think I do make it to most of plans made & I am told I need to reach so&so place at so&so time! Guess initiating a bit of socializing can be attempted. (I am Definitely unsure on this resolution! :P )
  7. I definitely am going to work on being kinder to self this year onwards...Need to ease the being pretty harsh on my mistakes & taking  quite a while to accept & forgive myself when I make a mess of things.
  8. Go minimalist - One thing I have already started following since the last year is to really just do away with unnecessary stuff. Being the Taurean that I am, I collect memorabilia from each place I visit, personal souvenirs etc. & I happen to have a collection. I started giving them away since last year.. & also stopped collecting much new stuff since last year. Long away from being really minimalistic.. but it feels good to get detached to things & give them away.
  9. Finally, getting back the creativity. Till a few years back, I used to actively paint, practice my ambidextrous skills, create/learn something or the other. Recently made something again and was super glad with the result. Creating stuff brings out a sense of accession. Definitely resolve to bring this on the top.
Quite modest and achievable. Hope to follow most through! May the year be kind to us!

Demonitize - Demon.it.ayes??

Demoni.ties..Demon-it-ayes...Demonitize.

Call it whatever, it's totally topsy-turveyed the whole of India's calender for the last 2 months!
It's what the nation is talking-walking-mocking about since over a month now. Everybody has a definite opinion on this & I consider this surely a good thing.

Good thing because, not only sharing enhances the understanding of varied view points, but I also personally feel Indians, for once, have been together in ALL of this. By Together I mean - Inspite of the shock, the difficulties - extreme in certain cases, India has been together and not revolted, not taken dharnas, not caused riots for the difficulties caused by this momentous decision that our Prime Minister has taken.
As the days post the demonitization went through, there ofcourse were opinions shifting, strong verbal opposition of the move, strong support at someplaces, discussions on the motive behind keeping this a secret and a whole many other things.

That was bound to happen.

As we are on the verge of the 50 day end period, the whole of India awaits with bated breadth, - "Now What?"

Has the de-monetization worked or no? That we'll know in the coming days.
Was it necessary? Now that is a topic that I have witnessed extreme reactions over. From blind support in favor of it to blind negation against it.

I am not going to come up with probably a - "been there, discussed that" theory. But I do strongly feel, from the time India has reached unprecedented levels in corruption swindles, one after another, for the first time ever, we have a Leader, a Prime Minister, taking a stand on correcting it - irrespective of the impact it could have on his next tenure as the Prime Minister.

Just for the sheer step he took, I do believe he should be given credit.

What the results are going to be, we'll know or probably not know in the coming days.
But was there any other way address this inflation the menace? I'd say an emphatic No. If there would have been, I'm certain the Prime Minister would have brought that option on, rather than this. Because I am definitely certain, he just didn't wake up one day and decided on the demonetization strategy.
I've heard so many say, "The move is good, but he should have planned it well etc..etc". It's easier to say things, than look for the practicalities of any situation, Opinions and suggestions are open to discuss - but implementing a thing as humongous as this - it was required, that this did not go out.
It would really beat the purpose if the very people who would benefit from this mostly (politicians), would have a whiff of this beforehand. I can't really think of/have come across any read-up, that suggests any better way for this plan to be implemented.

Anyways, I stand with the Prime Minister.
If this move wasn't taken, it would be like "He's the same like all.. what did he do different for the country..etc..etc". Now that he's taken, and the success of the plan doesn't look that visible as anticipated maybe, now it's; "He should have planned well.. this is trouble to the aam junta.. etc etc."

Well, There's just no sure shot way to please people, and never will be. As I mentioned in the beginning, the unity that the citizens displayed gives the message loud and clear. Sure there  was trouble. Sure there were difficult times for many.. especially the ones living under the poverty line or borderline poverty, who fend for themselves day on day basis. But I do believe, in heart of hearts, everyone knew this was for the betterment and hence supported this.
If I start cleaning my house after a month too, I'm going to take couple of days to clean up just the house. We're talking of a country here - Do I need to add anything more?

To end with, Whatever the results may bring up in the coming days.. or months. I'd definitely prefer a leader who Acts anyday, rather than just talks. & Modi is more than that!

The Best Accessory for a Female

Sometime back, when we were holding some fun quiz at work, I, being the part of the committee was put in the dock, as I never get to otherwise participate. It was a random thing & I went with the flow.

The question put to me was "What would be the one most important thing you would give a girl preparing for a beauty pageant?"
I didn't have to think half a moment for this answer. - 'CONFIDENCE.'

Confidence is the one accessory which can make anybody beautiful, attractive & desirable. It would make her believe that she has what it takes to be there. It would help her discover her potential & instill enough words, that she would feel herself as beautiful.

The reply was well liked and that ended there.

...Later when I was complimented on my spontaneous reply, I thought -  how true is this! From personal experience I can vouch for this fact, that when a female has confidence, even if she is breaking in unforgiving zits on her face, she'll not be affected in her zest & spirit for meeting people.. doing what she wants out there & living life. Whereas, even if she is spotlessly flawless, if she doesn't have the confidence that she measures up to good, all that flawless beauty will be of no good.

So what is confidence.. & how does one gain it or how would one inspire confidence in someone?
In simple definers, Confidence is when you are comfortable in your skin. Confidence is when you know you are good enough, without waiting for external subscriptions. Confidence is the surety that you'll make it through any situation on your own. It also is the comfort with which you seek help without feeling that you are lowering your pride. Confidence is when you are respectful towards yourself & don't get intimidated by others. It is also being respectful towards everyone without feeling insecure or instilling a forced fear among others. Confidence is when you can say your say without getting scared of repercussions. Confidence is when you are content in being yourself. Content in the knowledge you are loved by the universe.

So how do you instill this in someone? Some people are born confident. They do not need to be helped or provided supplement to build that. But some people aren't that way. Maybe because of their persona, maybe by their upbringing. These are the ones that need the the building up.

There's just one bottomline way to do this. By simply letting people in your life be for what they are, for what they are. To let them bloom the way they do without trying to change the course of their rooting. Even angled blooms look beautiful when natural..& fenced plants too look jaded when restricted too much. When people are comfortable to be themselves, confidence is a but natural resultant.

I do believe, that even if just this one thing is in place, you appreciate yourself without expecting anything that can make or shake your self belief and that itself brings you appreciation without looking for it. When the inner sanctum of the self is nourished well, confidence is bound to be alive and thriving.

Intentional Actions

Our intentions may be genuine gold. But if we want people to believe them , we have to back them up by actions.
Intentions without actions doesn't justify the claim. Doesn't measure up to much.

Happy Independence Day India

Each Independence day, I post something or the other about the importance and gratitude I feel for this day. This day, I have no written post, but a song which is a personal favorite. It evokes a lot of faith and hope in me.

Happy Independence Day India. Jai Hind!

"Its only Words....

...& words are all I have to take your heart away. "

What a lovely song this is.

Blessed are the people who can just as easily bring out the verbal verbose they feel within their hearts & empty the heart...but its equally unblessing/terrible for people who are eloquent, but get tongue tied or who actually cannot well put across what they feel at the times when its most needed. It's too constraining.

Then those words go down in the head, where nobody's listening..or it goes down in a diary albeit... paper or blog one.

Many a times when I've thought of it, the first impression is that, it is usually the problem of a person who is very unsure. But my psychological mind (:P) has probed the subject deeper & has learnt that, that is not the only reason. Apart from an inherent reservedness some people have, there can be various reasons for people to hold back on their words. Most of the common reasons are:
  • When there is fear of rejection
  • When there is uncertainty of the feeling of the thought wanting to be expressed
  • When there is an ego at a definite unhealthy high place to go and approach someone
  • When one really feels that what s/he may speak will anyways not make a difference
  • When one has lost hopes/faith on the bearer of the subject
  • When you are so hurt that words don't form proper fragments in the mind to come out
  • When you don't want to make yourself vulnerable to open bruises
  • When you don't want to break someone's heart as well as you can't lie either
  • When you fear losing........this can be anything, fear of losing loved one, relation, hope, ...job. Anything
  • When one thinks that his/her knowledge is too deep for the recipient to understand
  • & most importantly, when you don't trust yourself anymore. I assume this to be the most painful of all the reasons
I'm sure you must be wondering, that all these points are only related to sadness/negativity etc. There's good reason. I do very much believe when one is happy & even if a word is not uttered, the happiness reflects itself on the face. It Sure does.
Factually, we humans live the fact of, "Laugh & the world laughs with you, Cry & you cry alone", We are forever protecting the other side, the emotionally scarred side, going on about with a made up face hoping that what you feel will somehow reach the other person.

It Doesn't.

Let me finish off by quoting an amazing quote here:
"Whenever you expect someone to understand what you feel, always remember that how can the person know what you were never able to express?
-Things left unsaid often remain unheard."

So, Go express! It may not be the safest way...but again, there is no other way.
Is there?

Such an Irony!

We get broken by someone, promise ourselves never to look for leaning on anyone for support ever again and then go ahead looking for someone who would understand us in this & help us to get over the pain of the breaking down.

Subconsciously falling onto the same loop, again looking for a shoulder to lean on, depend on..& maybe eventually get close to.. & risk Everything we promised ourselves about not wanting to count on anyone ever again.

Ironical much?

And so I flew..!

In my growing up years, I used to be the timid, inconfident and jittered types. Though being a tomboy at heart - I always wanted to break free of the mental/traditional boundaries around me to discover the person within.
But for some reason or the other - It never happened until I was out of college.

There was this deep longing to once set out - try my spirit, know where I stand on my own and have the literally on-my-own kind of feeling.

It started with my passion for travelling. In the beginning, it was just an interest - which while I was on my third trip, I knew - was my passion. It was a birthday gift I asked my parents few years back; the permission to solo travel. Ofcourse they weren't too convinced about me venturing alone, especially considering my dependent state at that time.. but my Dad supported me and I can never ever be enough thankful to him for that. Today when he's not there to listen to my stories, to see the person I've moulded by the experiences I've had, I miss him the way that cannot be expressed and I hope he's happy when he sees me from up above.

I started out with a small weekend trip and today, it does not matter the number of days I go on a trip, I know I can handle it.
The first time is always the exciting, nervous, difficult yet easy in the end. Its also the most memorable. The first solo train ride, flight ride, the first hotel check-in..everything which we never give a thought to when in a group, becomes a responsibility. Also it taught me a great lot about human psychology. The weird questions, the approving/unapproving comments all became my teachers in some way or the other.
This one step, apart from giving me a sense of self - gave me so many things that I hadn't even anticipated.
The confidence, the sense of belief, the sense of discipline, the responsibility of the self, the environment and the world we live in. The recognition of our place in this huge world, the ability to meet new people/cultures and learn from them or be thankful for my environment, depending on the place of visit, the feeling of empowerment and so many things more. There's just so much for which  I now express gratitude for.

Today, its been more than 5 years I've been travelling on my own and I recommend it to every person who asks me about it, especially females. Reason being, it reiterates the feeling of self-dependency and breaks a lot of mental shackles Indian females have been raised to believe in.
I took the first step and it changed my life. Life's good! :)

Housing Memories

Sometimes when you give up hope in a relation, even a small whiff of encouragement is all what it takes to get the faith back on track. And sometimes after giving your best, the best to do is house the memories in the safe core of your heart.

I'm a person of few relations and those few I set them in stone. Nothing at all can deter me from going all the way for someone I call my own, so when there is rough weather - I go ALL out to make sure things get back to smooth.

I was having major issues with a particular close friend. We had been only arguing and having communication gaps for more than 6 months. Unfortunately, since none of my closest friends live in the same city, it only gets worse to smooth out big issues easily.
So, when I happened to get a chance to visit this friend's city, there wasn't any doubt of thinking of anything else except for packing up and jumping on the chance.

As my luck had it, after I reached, I discovered the friend that day only had a few hours to spare before getting back to work, which apparently couldn't be avoided.
So even though I was super upset by that, I made my peace in those few hours and I had a memorable trip.
To date - while we still are in rough waters - I think of that effort of mine and make my peace that I DID give my best to iron out the differences.
For that last meeting, neither of us brought up the issues bothering us, nor did we let the complaints get in the way. Today I reflect on that day and in a way feel glad that we did not rake up unpleasantness.. but rather had enjoyed the time like the good 'ol days.
There's a lot to think here. Was I the only one who wanted to sort out differences, does distance really change people so much etc etc. But for the things that have happened and have been an important part of our life, I believe in keeping the sanctity of the emotions and feelings spent and rather keep the good  memories close.

In hindsight, that meeting seems like we parted on a memorable note. That is all I would like to hold onto to.

Truly life is unpredictable. But just because a relation breaks, we don’t have to look back bitterly on it. Till the moment you were in it, it was important and pleasant. I’d rather remember the pleasantness than the end result of it.

Sometimes some relations are Together... but not quite.

Don't let a Bruise become a Wound

When one gets physically hurt, there is a bruise formed. If taken care of, it will heal and fill in a little time.
But when a bruise if left unattended and is rather treated carelessly, there are chances for it to become a wound.
Bruise does not leave a mark...but wounds leave scars.

Relations are just like that. If small nit-picks are taken care of, they solve quickly, rather than turning into a wound and leaving scars behind.

Too much Glitz signifies Depth of faith?

I'm more than often told I have a different perspective on many things.
I'm Ok with that. As long as I'm honest to my own self and don't live in denial to what I observe and feel - I'm totally OK.. even if I'm on stand-alone.

Why did I mentioned that? Because I had couple of discussions last week and I thought - Really? Can people be So blind-faithed? Though I respect their points of views; I can never think like them.

Couple of weeks ago I visited Triambakeshwar and Shirdi. Two from the list of most revered pilgrimages of India.
Triambakeshwar is one of the 12 Jyotirlings dedicated to Lord Shiva. While most of the Shiva temples all around India, including these 12 most revered temples are comparatively modestly maintained; there is a serious problem with the running and maintenance of many other famous temples in India.. and maybe abroad too.

I remember visiting Shirdi some seven-eight years back. I clearly remember how the temple complex was then and also how the main sanctum hall looked.
It was basic, modest and just fine for how a temple should be. Only Baba's accessories and samadhi were ornated with gold, which is a given in any temple.
This time when I visited, I could'nt help but notice and appreciate how much more organised the temple structure was and how easy it was to access locker rooms to mobile lockers to prasad counters etc.
Luckily for us, within half an hour we were in the main hall and that is where I was temporary stalled in my steps with the sight ahead. The main sanctum hall was unrecognizable - it looked more gold than paint!

This wasn't the case earlier. I'm sure, over the years with the devotees faith growing and contributions coming in, there must have been quite a collection of funds happening... but to utilise all that money to gold pillars and what not; is something I cannot relate to.
Anyways, I concentrated on the very nice darshan that we had and moved out to the temple complex.

We sat there for around fifteen minutes or so and within that span I could notice more than a few children begging.. and few wandering and trying to sell Baba's pics and other items to the devotees. Now these children I'm certain were no more than five years of age. Observing this was what got me thinking on the two extremes within the same premises. I wondered was so much gold really required to deck up the place? Wouldn't it have been better if the temple authorities did something about the underprivileged there?

Honestly, the temple WILL get visitors irrespective of the fact if the pillars are in gold/rubies or plain white plaster paint! Ofcourse, it needs to be maintained neat and clean. But apart from that, I really don't believe in the fancy glitz.

And while I do acknowledge the temple trust is making amenities more comfortable and people friendly.. so that there are more and more tourists visiting - I wonder why can't they re-direct the extra inflow they get to do something about the kids/beggars/lower rung  people there?
Probably they might be doing something.. but inspite; there are still children begging/working.. or plain running around there.

Why not set up a trust and hire people who can track these homeless/underprivileged kids and ensure they are provided education of some kind? Maybe some school which again, I'm sure the temple trust can afford?
Basically, what I'm so hoping is - why can't these richie rich places have productive chanelling of all that wealth that is offered there? I'm sure this would be enough cause too for more tourists to flock up.
It's a win-win situation.

But obviously - It's a thought shared not by many or rather not the ones in power there or for that matter at any big religious significant site.
At the end it all because a race for "this temple has most offerings offered and is rich, compared to the others". This thought process is what has become the doom of our country's largest income generating platforms - the famous temples! A place to show off glitz!

Again the same thought; is it really required or justified? I'm not sure. I've spoken to my understanding of sane people [  :p ] and majority had the same say - if we don't deck up and fame our places, who will?
Obviously, fame gains predence over Faith.
When priorities are confused - how can there be an effective result?

Think on it.

Thoughts on the Delhi Tiger incident.

More than half the people are blaming the 'authorities' on why they couldn't act on time in the Delhi Zoo case.
Why on Earth do we forget that We as a culture at large, don't believe in respecting basic rules.. want to be mindless rebels..feel proud of breaking norms.. and then when something like this happens - STILL don't take ownership for our behavior!

Practically speaking too, it would have taken atleast 5-10 minutes for the authorities come over with the tranquilizer injections - if they Do have anything like that!
Also, for common sense's sake, there cannot be a security/authority shadowing each individual at every public space! There's some ownership of self too.. or are we to assume that we are so moronic to not be responsible at the most basic levels for ourselves too?

Worse is, the blame has been not only fallen on the zoo authorities.. but the animal as well!! IT-IS-BUT-AN-ANIMAL!! Would it say.."Oh, you landed in my territory - let me escort you to the exit??"!!

It was a very disturbing video to see.. but somehow I'm not much affected. Because tomorrow, Again, the situation would be back to square one. Majority among us will again flout rules, act as obtuse cretins and very unhesitatingly still not reflect on the root cause - but will certainly blame the whole world for their misdemeanours!

Umpteen times I end up wondering - What will it take for the majority of our population to dawn in a sense of basic self awareness.?

Suicide - A call for help or surrendering to dissapointment.

India is declared as the world's suicide capital from the latest study. When I saw this in the news yesterday, I was instantly reminded of the suicides I heard in the last month.
One was of the famous Robin Williams [Ofcourse a non-Indian] to the other two being of friends of friends [Indians].

One was a successful [on the face of it] actor/artist; renowned all over the world for his skill - That of a great comedian! The other two were youngsters with decent and fair looking life - which includes, good family, good education, decent jobs, presentable looks etc.

So when I heard of these, apart from the sadness over a life wasted, the next thought I had was; inspite of all of the above - WHY then? Why do people who look normal..reasonably better off, surrender to life in this manner?

Questions like these can only have rationale, practical answers, in which most of the time we end up blaming the victim that s/he did not reach out for help or calling it cowardice for ending 'the beautiful life' in this way or naming them selfish for being insensitive to the apathy of their loved ones they leave behind.

Are we justified in thinking that way? Obviously, its not a 'Beautiful life' for the ones who are bidding adieu to it. It takes a lot of courage to put an end to a life by your own self. So again, are we justified to think that way? I don't think so.

No, I'm not advocating suicides as such in any which way. But just because we do not understand it, does not give us the right to belittle someone who did go on the forbidden path. It would serve better trying to think and understand why more and more people end up going this path.
Also, a fact to keep in mind would be that people suffering from suicidal tendencies cope with their own sense of strength and understanding for a long time before they succumb.

I'm very certain nobody likes to die a loser. Nobody wants to leave behind families and loved ones in grief. But equally true is not everybody is made of stronger stuff. Not everybody has a high confidence spirit. Not everybody can cope up. It's only when their anguish becomes unbearable, people opt out.

We [undepressed people] may not understand it - but rather than passing judgement over someone's weakness, we could try to understand it and see if we can do something about helping people inclined as such.

If we look around closely in the world around us today; at some point we sure have come across atleast a couple of people who have subtly/directly reached out to us with their problems in the form of sharing or asking suggestions and of who we got aware that they're going through tough times.

Generically speaking, what did we do? Except for the very close ones who effect us directly, we usually don't much have time/inclination to listen and help out the one in need. Blunt and selfish as it may sound, its a fact most of us wouldn't be able to deny. Not because for any other reason, only because we are ourselves lost in the whirlwind of our own day-to-day hustling that we pay proper attention to something only probably when it's late..if not too late.

So where do the people who are broken down and who eventually give up; go too? Sure, there are counselling options and medications. But again, not all think of that option nor can all afford those.
At that time all they want is warmth and understanding. Mostly from the people they love.

Nothing heals more than love. Nothing heals more than feeling that you are wanted, you are valued to a depressed heart.
And that is where the catch is.
Tollsome as it may sound - and is, that is the pressing need of the hour from the near and dear ones associated. Consistent support the griever's anguish is the medicine until the sufferer gets back on his/her feet. It may take months.. maybe years in some cases.. but it helps. I do believe it definitely does!

Only when we are ready to offer the first hand of help can we point fingers and mouth strong opinions against the emotionally weak or the already succumbed to death people.

The only wish we can wish is hope they find peace in the other world.

Telanga-Naaaaaaaa!!!

There are a whole lot of thousand thoughts I have in regards to the division of my janmabhoomi. For now only one in the form of an image will suffice.

Rest of the thoughts in some other blog.
May God bless these people who struggle for separate States, but forget to choose good leaders for leading them!!
